Search All Indexed NSRR Content
Clicking on the Magnifying Glass icon in the upper right corner of all NSRR pages allows the user to search service metadata contents by specifying keywords. These keywords can be enclosed in quotes to search for an exact match, and can be preceded by a + sign to require all matches to include the term, and a - sign to require all matches to exclude a term. When the user searches with one keyword only, that keyword in the search results will be highlighted. When the user enters multiple terms in the text box without qualifying punctuation, the result set will combine the keywords with an implicit logical OR. Matches are returned in order of relevance.
The Content Types included in the Search Services metadata correspond to the data types navigated in the left hand side Service Detail navigational menu. The types include Services (Service Profile), Background, Service Provider, Service Functionality, Description (Security, QoS and Policy Descriptions), Service Operations, Messages, and Documents.
Results are presented in the form of panels containing the names and other descriptive information of the contents that match the search terms. The user can choose to filter the results by selecting the Content Types that appear on the left hand side of the results screen along with the number of matches found. Selecting the name link in a panel brings the user to the appropriate Service Detail View, which could be a list of items.
The user can also enter keyword search terms in the text box of the results screen to filter the results even further, as well as sort the results by Content Type, Content Title, and Relevancy.
