Yes, you only need a desire to learn more about FAA SWIM services and a corporate or academic email address to register for an NSRR account. |

I just received my account but when I try to log in, I get an error message that my username and/or password are “not recognized”. |
Once you receive the email indicating your account has been created, you have 24 hours to log in and create your password. If you do not log in within that time, click “Change password” to reset the account and create a new password. |

Did my user account expire? |
Your user account is disabled if it has been inactive for one (1) year, per FAA Security protocol. To reactivate, click Contact Us. |

How do I add a new service? |
If you already have an account, click Contact Us and provide your name, email address, name of the new service and briefly describe your role in supporting the new service. If you are a Contractor, provide the name of the FAA Program Manager or individual who is responsible for service development and can verify that you are permitted to edit the new service. If you do not have an account, you can ask to add a new service as part of your account request. |

Why can’t I edit a service? |
You must be assigned the Service Publisher role and be granted access rights to that service to be able to edit a service. To request editing privileges, click Contact Us. |

Yes, you can refer to the NSRR Help Index for information about the service’s attributes, including classification schemes and their values. For instance, “lifecycle stage” and its values are defined in the Service Profile section of the Index. |

Click Services|Manage Notifications. Scroll down or Search and select a service. Select Subscribe to Notifications to add this Service to your subscriptions. |

Am I able to get copies of Service Description Documents for services we use? |
Yes, you can generate a printable Service Description Document (WSDD or JMSDD) for any service by selecting the Service Documentation|Create Service Description Document option on the NSRR home page. You can also download copies of other Service Documents unless the documents are specifically designated as “protected”. |

The search functionality does not appear to retrieve all services. |
The “Browse/View Services” search does not retrieve “Deprecated” or “Retired” services unless you request it by clicking on the radio button beside the search bar. |

How do I promote a service to the next lifecycle stage? |
You can request promotion by selecting the Lifecycle Management|Request Promotion menu option while viewing the Service Profile of a service you published. |

Log into NSRR and navigate to the NSRR Library and download the SWIM Deprecation Notice. https://nsrr.faa.gov/nsrr-library-document/8657 Once the form is completed and has the required signatures, upload the notice to NSRR. |

You may elect to receive notification of changes or updates to selected services as they become available. Click Services|Manage Notifications and select the service(s) you want notifications for. |
